Muscle Engagement Techniques: helps increase joint range of motion
Prenatal massage: minimum 14 weeks pregnant
Instruction and guidance will be provided during maneuvering to ensure session safety, security and success.

The Process

Pre-treatment
Once booked in for massage, you will be sent a welcome email from Upwind Wellness.
Please complete the health history intake and consent form before your session. Check your junk folder if it is not in your inbox.

Treatment day
Arrival time is 10-15 minutes before booking to set up, review intake, interview and clarify treatment goals.
Be sure to clear out a space large enough for the massage table and therapist to work safely.

Post-treatment
Allocating 15 minutes post treatment is recommended to pack up, review home care and process payment.
Once an appointment is paid, either by credit card , cash or eTransfer, a receipt will be sent to your email.

Holly Massage Oil is derived from a cold press process. The oil comes from the branches and leaves of the holly tree and is then de-ionized. A water based Vitamin E (Cyclo-Alocaine) is then added along with Jojoba as a therapeutic moisturizer and to add glide. Non-scented!
Biotone Dual Purpose Massage Creme with arnica and ivy extract. I only provide massage to children over the age of 8 years old.
Children under the age of 11 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
All minors require a massage consent form to be signed by a parent or guardian.
I do not provide infant (0-1 years old) massages. I can offer a guided session between you and your infant/child, while demonstrating on a doll.

For prenatal massage, 14 weeks pregnant. For postnatal massage, natural birth 1 week and c-section 4 weeks.
Confirm with your doctor if it is safe to receive a massage.

I clean all surfaces, equipment and linens after every client using a medical grade sanitizer.

In the winter, please be sure to clear pathways and outdoor staircases. My equipment is large and heavy, it will reduce the chance of injuring myself.

If you or someone in your household are feeling unwell or sick please contact me to cancel.
It is important to communicate with me if you are in pain or uncomfortable at any point during our session so we can adjust your treatment.
I love animals! Although to ensure safety, save on time and reduce possible massage equipment damage, I would please ask that pets be kept outside of the massage space if they are prone to excitement.

I can accommodate both but as I do not work with a colleague, I cannot book multiple sessions at the same time. Maximum of 7 hours per day.
At least 15-20 minutes between each client needed to review home care, sanitize surfaces and change sheets. In addition to assessing health history and treatment goals for the next person scheduled.

I do not provide direct billing. Once payment is received, an RMT receipt will be issued via email which can be claimed for reimbursement by your insurance company.
